Therapy is a process of affecting positive changes in a person’s emotional, behavioral, and relationship situations. At the Institute, Systems Therapy is used. Systems Therapy assumes that people need significant others in their lives and some basic connections in work and play. This approach helps clients balance independence and involvement with others in their lives. Therapy can help lead clients to find meaningful life experiences, individually and with others.

In therapy, clients are assisted in resolving problems such as anxiety, depression, marital discord, or family conflict. Other situations addressed are parenting conflicts, teenage acting out, eating disorders, school problems, child abuse, family violence, and aging parents. Some people seek therapy for personal growth and change. In fact, any mental or attitudinal problem keeping an individual, couple or family from living happily and productively can be dealt with in therapy.
