Maria T. Flores, Ph.D. , AAMFT Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor
Practice Description:
Dr. Maria Flores’ practice focuses on working with troubled marriages and families. Helping people learn to communicate, understand, reconnect, and love each other is most important. Families go through all sorts of growth and development. Sometimes a family member is depressed or begins having anxiety attacks. Affairs often destroy a marriage. This is a time for the individual, couple or family to come for help. Therapy can be a great help for the person hurting and for the family in pain. Or if a teenager runs away, if a family member dies, it takes a support system to help this person to recover. Individual and family therapy are all part of the way to health.
Approved Supervisor:
In her practice, Dr. Flores also provides supervision and consultation with family psychotherapists dealing with serious individual and family problems. The Approved Supervisor designation identifies those professionals who have met the educational, experiential, and supervisory training requirements to supervise marriage and family therapists, for AAMFT Clinical Membership. The State of Texas also requires a Clinical Supervisor for those seeking a LMFT license and a LPC license.
Dr. Flores’ Doctoral and Approved Supervisory status qualifies her to perform these services.
